Study of deformation law and support design feasibility of right-angled trapezoidal roadways

Given the problems of serious asymmetric deformation and difficulty in supporting right-angled trapezoidal roadways during mining process, we established a mechanical model surrounding rock for roadway, determined relationship between deflection tilt angle roadway roof, that typical failure mode is upper slip high side. Two optimized support schemes are proposed, which constant resistance large (CRLD) bolt + ordinary I-steel or portal energy absorbing hydraulic (PEAH) used as main instead an I-steel. Numerical simulation analysis shows aforementioned can reduce deformation, acoustic emission (AE) quantity, AE change how releases from earthquake type to swarm type. The scheme with CRLD PEAH roadway’s side 0.192 0.145 m, respectively. This two effectively improve overall bearing capacity integrity roadways, be applied field.
